A group of concerned citizens gathered yesterday to protest against the cutting down of trees on Dhanmondi Satmasjid Road. The protest was led by the President of the Meeting, Ms. Sultana Kamal, along with the Managing Director of their own organization, Mr. Khushi Kabir, the Managing Director of Bela, Ms. Sayeda Rizwana Hasan, the Coordinator of Green Voice, Mr. Alamgir Kabir, and the Co-Coordinator, Mr. Humayun Kabir Sumon, along with other local leaders.
The protestors expressed their concern about the cutting down of these trees, which have been an integral part of the area for decades. They emphasized the importance of trees in maintaining ecological balance, reducing pollution, and providing shade and beauty to the surroundings.
